The Empress - original art

$6,000.00

“The Empress had taken me on a journey in 2024 during a time of re-opening a love interest (in the form of a summer “fling”) from 12 years ago. I opened my heart wide open (again) and the past dozen 365-days seemed to vanish into thin air. A hop into a love portal with a glimpse of a timeline that could have (or possibly still?) existed. It was pure magic. But after three days, he’d flown back north with his heart and decided to close a chapter I’d hope we would continue to write together.

With a shattered heart and ego, I decided that was the final chapter of that story, and closed the whole book for good. I went through a process of battling my self worth and confidence as I slowly picked up the broken pieces and sorrowfully hand-stitched them back together.

And so, this painful journey acted as a potent catalyst into the best love story I had least expected to unfold. This reconnection and loss taught me to better honor my body, boundaries, and desires more fully. To take the time to go be alone for awhile, recalibrate, and intentionally go inwards and question what it is that I am actually creating in my life? From this lesson, I’ve started focusing on devoting myself to my life and my art. And for all of this, it is the best gift The Empress could have gifted me.”

This acrylic painting was painted with a TON of heart and womb energy and was made on canvas. it measures 40”h x 30”l x 0.75”w and has shimmering gold and violet highlights.
